We would love you to have:

• Proven experience (typically 3+ years) in engineering, facilities or maintenance management within a hotel, aparthotel or hospitality environment
• Relevant technical qualifications (electrical, mechanical, building services or similar) or equivalent practical experience
• Strong understanding of health & safety regulations, statutory compliance and preventative maintenance programmes
• Experience managing contractors, budgets and small teams
• Good problem-solving skills, attention to detail and the ability to prioritise effectively
• Adaptability: ability to respond quickly to feedback, guest needs and operational demands

What you can do for us:

• Take full ownership of the property’s engineering and maintenance function, ensuring safe, reliable and efficient operation of all building services and equipment
• Develop and deliver a preventative maintenance programme and ensure statutory compliance (fire, gas, lifts, electrical etc.) in line with local regulations and company standards
• Manage planned and reactive maintenance, diagnosing and resolving technical faults promptly to minimise guest disruption
• Oversee contractor procurement, supervision and performance, ensuring work is completed to specification, on time and within budget
• Manage departmental budgets and expenditure, driving cost-effective solutions while maintaining quality and safety
• Maintain accurate engineering records, asset registers and compliance documentation
• Support energy management initiatives and sustainable practices to reduce consumption and environmental impact
• Coach, mentor and lead junior engineering and maintenance team members, fostering a culture of ownership and continuous improvement
• Work closely with other departments to support operational needs and contribute to a seamless guest experience
