We would love you to have:
- Proven experience (typically 2+ years) in housekeeping management within a hotel, aparthotel or hospitality environment
- Experience supervising and developing teams, including rostering and performance management
- Strong knowledge of housekeeping SOPs, cleaning standards and inventory control
- Experience managing budgets, stock ordering and supplier relationships
- Good communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally with front of house, maintenance and procurement
- Strong attention to detail, organisational skills and the ability to prioritise in a busy environment
- Understanding of health & safety, COSHH and infection control procedures
- Flexibility to work varied shifts including weekends and bank holidays
What you can do for us:
- Lead and manage the housekeeping department to deliver consistently high standards of cleanliness, presentation and guest satisfaction
- Develop, implement and monitor housekeeping SOPs, quality checks and inspection schedules to ensure compliance with company standards
- Manage recruitment, training, coaching and development of housekeeping staff to build a motivated and high-performing team
- Plan and manage labour schedules and rotas to meet operational needs while controlling labour costs
- Oversee inventory management, linen and amenities control, and ordering to maintain stock levels and reduce waste
- Work closely with maintenance and other departments to resolve room defects, manage turnovers and support a seamless guest experience
- Maintain accurate departmental records, reporting on performance metrics, room status and budgetary spend
- Ensure compliance with health & safety and hygiene regulations and promote safe working practices across the team
- Lead initiatives to improve sustainability within housekeeping operations, reducing waste and supporting company environmental goals
